    Cot Adjusted height Dilemma

This message was posted by Gary Anderson on 26/02/2010 10:
We bought an IKEA cot which after 9 months have had to lower the level down to the lowest level for fear of baby climbing out and falling down the other side.

There are only two levels - high and low. My wife is very short and finds it difficult to lean over the side of the cot and put him down on the bottom of the cot without an uncomfortable landing waking up the baby or hurting her back.

Now we've thought we could buy a second mattress thus raising him a bit higher. But would this mean the air doesn't circulate/ventilate through the mattresses and make his back sweaty/clammy.

Alternatively, we could just buy another cot but it seems rather wasteful.

    Any suggestions welcome.
